About Christine

Christine Tomlinson PhotographerI grew up seeing beauty all around me. My mother was a painter and taught me how to see the world through the eyes of an artist. I was drawn to photography from the very beginning. I got my first camera in the 5th grade. It was a Polaroid and I saved up for film the way my kids save up for video games. On to middle school and high school and more of the same. I finally stopped borrowing 35mm cameras when I received my first on my 16th birthday, a Canon AE1. I still have that camera and it reminds me how far I have come. I received an AA degree in Commercial Photography from Sullivan County Community College and then a scholarship to the Art Institute of Boston. The practical side of me took over and I transferred to Florida State University where I got a BA in Communication, focusing on Film and an Art Minor. 25 years later and many different lives, I am still passionate about photography. I established my first professional portrait photography business in 2008 and opened a physical studio in June of 2012 on the Napa waterfront. I am a happy, thriving Mom of 3 with a wonderful husband and a business I have always dreamed about. You will never regret trusting me with your important photographs and precious memories. They are my life’s work.
